So I’m here in my hotel room trying not to think about what tomorrow brings. The first of 3 hellish days that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Yes, the Bar is tomorrow. Good thing I had some salmon and red wine tonight right? I also watched an episode of My So-Called Life. One of the best shows ever. Period. Thank goodness for the internet. Although I rented a movie on iTunes that is still downloading…2 hours later! Oh well, time for bed anyways.
It will all be worth it when I’m residing in Major City as an attorney! Or so I keep telling myself…

Happy (early) Valentines Day! Although it’s not my favorite day, I know some people love this day. Whatever floats your boat I guess.
I’m off to another Rainy City tomorrow for a 3-day bar exam prep. I know you’re all jealous. A full practice test followed by 16 hours of lecture sounds thrilling eh?
Still fighting off a cold. I think lack of sleep is contributing to the problem.
Oh and has anyone seen “Across the Universe”? I kinda want to see it but am wondering if its worth my time…

I’m watching my favorite movie of all time right now, Pride and Prejudice, on PBS. I’ve seen it at least 100 times, and that’s no exaggeration. I can quote about 99% of it. I know it’s a very popular movie and there are many versions, but there is just something about this version that moves me. Is it the relationship between Darcy and Lizzy? Or between Lizzy and Jane? Maybe the witty comments and barbs spoken by everyone from Lizzy to Caroline Bingley? Or maybe it’s just the scenery, costumes, and dances? Whatever it is, it comforts me and gives me hope on a multitude of levels. From the first time that Mr. Darcy appears on screen, my attention is riveted. So, yes, shelves in the closet are a happy thought indeed!

I was going to write about the bar being in 3 weeks and how after that I can finally move to Major City. But I don’t really want to write about that. I don’t really have anything exciting to say instead.
Tomorrow is Super Tuesday. Yawn. I’m just ready for the 2 candidates to be selected and then the election. And really, it’s not like I’m the edge of my seat here. Much more exciting things are happening this year…
I’m watching “In Treatment” right now and it’s an interesting show. I usually like HBO series like SATC and Big Love. This is one is about a therapist and his clients. The therapist is Gabriel Byrne. He’s a great actor, but all I can think about when I see him is “Little Women” and how much I love period pieces. Yeah, it’s been a long day.
I get to take my 3 month old car into the shop tomorrow. It’s practically brand new and already making weird noises and there is some random burning smell where I turn on the heat. And I thought Honda Civics were the un-destructible car! I just hope it’s not serious…

So nothing exciting is really going on here. I’m glad it’s February though. I hate January for no other reason than it’s a cold, miserable month. The only thing I don’t like about February happens in 13 days, otherwise known as Single Awareness Day. Ugh, I hate Hallmark holidays. But tomorrow is Groundhog Day so that’s great!
My new thing is green tea. I’ve decided to drink that instead of Coca-Cola. Green tea has a lot of health benefits, and Coke really doesn’t, unless you count the caffeine rush that I need to live
But green tea is good so far. A lot less calories and it has caffeine!
I saw “27 Dresses” the other day. I thought it was quite good besides the fact the theatre was filled with a bunch of annoying teenage girls. There was no school that day and so of course I picked the wrong day to see the movie. They talked, laughed, stomped the floor and texted all the way through the movie. Grr. And I don’t mean laughing at the funny moments. But otherwise I quite enjoyed it. I love Katherine Heigl and have since “My Father the Hero.”
Alright, only 25 days til the bar, so back to the books!
Happy Weekend!
