A whole week?

Well, almost. Since I last blogged. Sorry! This week flew by people! Here’s the recap…
Monday: ran errands and watched the Hills premiere. I love that show. Even though it’s so fake it’s ridiculous. Got a text from P inviting me to a comedy club Tuesday night but I knew I wouldn’t make it. Still, I was thrilled to hear from him.
Tuesday: started work for my cousin’s sister-in-law M. I’m just helping her sort her receipts for tax purposes and doing some other assistant type things. She just moved here from NYC and lives in a great house in really cool and funky beach town about 40 minutes from where I live. The commute is a hassle, but it’s money and not so bad.
Wednesday: my cousin got sworn in as an American citizen so I joined her and her husband at the ceremony. Afterwards we had an all-American meal of cheeseburgers and fries. Yum!
Thursday: I worked for M. Had to be there at 8am so I had to be on the road by 7am. Yuck! I hate, hate, hate, hate getting up early. I live for sleeping in. Seriously. During the day, P texted me and invited me to the beach but I was working so I coudn’t meet him. Again, thrilled to hear from him. After work I went to this networking event for young lawyers downtown at this really cool bar. There was a hot lawyer who looked just like Christian Bale. I’m definitely going to more of these events to see if he’s there again. Of course I didn’t talk to him, but next time I will! I got lost driving home and thought I was going to end up on Skid Row. Not good!
Friday: Worked super early again. Then I laid by the most gorgeous beach and just relaxed. I can see why people become beach bums. The ocean is so peaceful and majestic that it just takes your breath away. I don’t even have the words to describe how amazing it is there. I finally pulled myself away to drive home and then hung out with my cousin’s nanny P for a few hours. We bemoaned our lack of nice, decent boys and recalled all the creeps in our pasts. Good to do that every once in awhile I say.
Today I joined a gym, worked out, and am just watching the Olympics. Which, sadly end tomorrow. What will I do? I will miss watching gymnastics, swimming and just knowing that there’s always a sporting event on tv to watch. *Sigh.
Not sure about plans tonight. May see P? I can hope…
